Job Description:

• Perform accurate and appropriate assessment to ensure accurate therapy and other patient-management is carried out to meet customers’ needs.
• Assist in the management of the Occupational Therapy Unit by ensuring continuous improvement of services, development of new series, uninterrupted service delivery and services are carried out.
• Assess patients’ functional abilities (ADL, cognition, motor, sensory)
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans
• Provide therapy for paediatric, orthopaedic and neurological conditions
• Train patients in daily living skills (dressing, feeding, grooming)
• Improve fine motor, coordination, and upper limb and hand function
• Conduct cognitive and perceptual rehabilitation
• Recommend and train use of assistive devices and splints
• Advise on home and workplace modifications for safe discharge
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers
• Participate in multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Document progress and outcomes according to hospital/MOH standards

Job Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university.
• Member of Malaysian Occupational Therapist Association.
• Preferably with 2 years working experience in tertiary hospital.
