Role Description The Assistant Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Woodlands, responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of cafeteria and pantry operations. This includes coordinating staff schedules, supervising service teams, and ensuring consistent food quality and hygiene standards. The role involves overseeing inventory management, monitoring vendor performance, and assisting with logistics such as deliveries, equipment, and supplies. The Assistant Operations Manager will help implement operating procedures, track key performance indicators, and address operational issues promptly. This position also supports customer service, gathers feedback, and collaborates with management to improve operational efficiency and workplace dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Operations and leadership skills, including team supervision, workflow coordination, and basic project management.
  • Experience in food service or hospitality operations, with knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in using basic office software and digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory tracking.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bedok, including flexibility for shifts aligned with operational needs.
  • Previous experience in an operations or supervisory role is preferred; experience in workplace dining or catering is an advantage.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, business, or operations management is beneficial, or equivalent practical experience.
