THE JOBSCOPE

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

• Support residents with eating, drinking, and mobility when required.

• Assist residents with transfers and movement safely.

• Monitor residents’ general condition and report any changes to the nursing team.

• Assist nurses with basic care and other duties as required.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

• Keep residents’ rooms and personal areas clean and comfortable.

• Assist with recreational, social, and daily activities.

• Follow residents’ individual care plans and instructions from the nursing team.

• Maintain proper hygiene and infection control practices.

• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and patience.

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding when required.

• Support residents during appointments or activities when assigned.

• Report accidents, injuries, unusual behaviour, or other concerns promptly.

• Maintain accurate records and handover relevant information to the care team.

• Follow safety, health, and organisational procedures.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Nurse or Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in elderly care is an advantage.

• Caring, patient, and responsible personality.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work well with elderly residents and their families.

• Physically fit and able to assist with daily care activities.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic knowledge of personal hygiene and elderly care is an advantage.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
