Inventory Management Executive

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and monitoring the company's inventory, including construction materials, tools, equipment, consumables and spare parts. Ensure materials are properly received, stored, issued and recorded, and maintain accurate inventory records to support construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory activities for construction materials, tools, equipment and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient materials are available for ongoing projects.
• Receive, check and record incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery orders.
• Issue materials to construction sites based on approved requests.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in Excel or inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile differences between physical and system records.
• Monitor damaged, expired, excess or slow-moving materials.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Procurement and Accounts regarding material requirements.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports and monthly stock balances.
• Track materials transferred between warehouse and different construction sites.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and housekeeping of inventory.
• Monitor tools and equipment issued to workers/sites and maintain records of returns.
• Assist procurement team in identifying items that need to be reordered.
• Follow company procedures for inventory control, documentation and approval.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report significant losses or shortages to management.
• Assist with stock audits and internal/external inspections.
• Perform other inventory and administrative duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Inventory Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics or construction materials management.
• Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, tools and equipment would be preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including basic formulas such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF and COUNTIF.
• Experience using inventory, ERP or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple inventory requirements.
• Good communication skills and able to coordinate with site personnel, suppliers and internal departments.
• Able to conduct physical stock checks at warehouses and construction sites.
• Possess good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willing to travel between warehouse, office and construction sites when required.
