Job Summary

You will oversee daily operations of the drinks stall and coffeeshop/ canteen, ensuring quality food and beverage preparation, excellent customer service, staff management, and property maintenance to support smooth business functioning.

Responsibilities

Operations

• Prepare traditional coffee, tea, toast sets, and other food and drinks consistently to meet quality standards
• Monitor and maintain food and drink quality to meet customer expectations
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the drinks stall and coffeeshop by following food hygiene and safety procedures
• Deliver high standards of customer service to enhance customer satisfaction
• Conduct stock taking and place timely orders to ensure adequate inventory
• Manage cash handling at the drinks stall according to SOP guidelines

Human Resources

• Create monthly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at the drinks stall
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust to maintain sufficient manpower at all times
• Prepare accurate attendance sheets for payroll processing
• Lead, motivate, and manage the team to maintain productivity and morale

Property Management

• Coordinate with vendors such as pest control and grease trap cleaning companies to ensure timely service delivery
• Ensure the coffeeshop complies with cleanliness standards consistently
• Manage stalls and record meter readings monthly for operational tracking
• Respond to power trips by contacting relevant government agencies like PUB and Town Council promptly
• Oversee other property maintenance tasks as required to maintain facility standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours during shifts
• Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in Food & Beverage operations
• Supervisory experience in a similar environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and customer relations
• Service-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively as a team player
