Role Overview

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the tendering and cost management of electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure project in Jurong East area.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tender requirements, specifications, drawings, bills of quantities, and related documentation.
• Support tender preparation, quantity measurement, cost estimation, and submission activities.
• Source, review, and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and value-engineering proposals.
• Monitor project expenditure, site consumables, material usage, subcontractor costs, and overall project budgets.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, variance analyses, and financial updates for relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final account preparation.
• Identify potential cost risks, savings, and commercial opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate tender, costing, contractual, and project documentation.
• Support compliance with relevant contractual, financial, and internal requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, tendering, cost estimation, contract administration, or project cost management.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, infrastructure, industrial construction, or engineering projects would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, value engineering, and final account preparation.
• Ability to interpret tender specifications, technical drawings, bills of quantities, and related project documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant cost estimation or quantity-surveying tools.
• Strong numerical, analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing calculations, reports, and contractual documents.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
