Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding according to approved drawings, specifications, WPS and work instructions.
• Set up and operate MIG welding machines, including selecting appropriate welding parameters, wire and shielding gas.
• Inspect materials, components and joints before welding to ensure proper alignment and preparation.
• Perform welding on various metal components according to required welding standards and specifications.
• Ensure welds are properly completed and meet the required quality standards.
• Identify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, lack of fusion and excessive spatter, and perform necessary rectification or rework.
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and report any defects or quality issues to the supervisor/QC personnel.
• Maintain the required production output and complete assigned welding jobs within the given timeline.
• Follow production schedules, work instructions and supervisor's directions.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and workstations in clean and safe working condition.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report any machine or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements and applicable occupational safety procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the welding/work area.
• Minimize material wastage, welding defects, rework and production downtime.
• Perform other duties related to welding and production as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder is preferred.
• Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings/welding symbols.
• Familiar with MIG welding equipment, welding parameters and consumables.
• Able to perform welding work with acceptable quality and consistency.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
• Physically fit to perform welding and production-related tasks.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
