Job Summary: As a Design Engineer in our organisation, you will play a crucial role in the product development process. You will be responsible for designing and developing new products, improving existing ones, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design new products or product improvements, taking into account functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

2. CAD Modelling: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of product designs, ensuring precision and accuracy.

3. Prototyping: Oversee the development of prototypes and conduct testing and analysis to validate design concepts and make necessary adjustments.

4. Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for product components, considering factors such as durability, cost, and performance.

5. Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for products, ensuring they meet industry regulations and customer requirements.

6. Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality and performance.

7. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to facilitate the manufacturing process.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in engineering dealing with process and cleaning equipment and railway depot equipment in manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
