About the Role
We are looking for a Florist Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to our florist team. You will assist with preparing customer orders, organizing order information and materials, and coordinating with the florist and delivery teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
What You’ll Do :
Order Preparation & Florist Support
- Print daily customer orders, job sheets and relevant order documents.
- Sort and arrange orders according to delivery date, delivery time, priority and florist assignment.
- Check order details and highlight special instructions, flower preferences, colour requests, card messages and other customer requirements.
- Prepare greeting cards, ribbons, wrapping materials, boxes, bags and other packaging materials required for orders.
- Assist florists in preparing the materials needed for each order.
- Arrange completed orders for collection or delivery and ensure they are correctly labelled with customer and delivery details.
- Assist with replenishing florist materials and packaging supplies.
Order Checking & Coordination
- Monitor order progress and coordinate with the florist and delivery team to ensure orders are completed on time.
- Follow up on pending, amended or incomplete orders to ensure no order is missed.
- Liaise with Customer Service, Sales, Delivery and other relevant departments regarding order requirements or changes.
Administrative Support
- Update order status in the system or relevant tracking sheets.
- Record completed, cancelled, amended and pending orders.
- Assist with stock or material request forms and other department-related documentation.
Requirements :
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Administration, Business, Retail or a related field.
- Previous experience in administration, retail, order processing or customer service is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling customer orders.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically able to assist with operational tasks and handling of materials.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays and during peak seasons when required.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
