FULL-TIME BAKER / BREAD BAKER — GOOD LUCK BAGELS

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys bread, dough and hands-on baking — someone who wants to grow with a new bakery and be involved in building our production from the ground up.

YOUR ROLE

You’ll be involved in the daily production of our bagels and bread, including:

• Preparing and scaling ingredients accurately
• Mixing and developing dough
• Dough fermentation and temperature control
• Dividing, rounding and shaping
• Bagel shaping and production
• Proofing and monitoring dough development
• Boiling, baking and finishing bagels
• Preparing different bread / bagel flavours
• Following recipes and production SOPs
• Maintaining consistency in size, weight, texture and appearance
• Monitoring oven and proofer conditions
• Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment
• Stock checking and proper ingredient storage
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Assisting with recipe trials and new product development
• Supporting the team with other bakery duties when required

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

Passionate about bread and baking
Hands-on, hardworking and physically fit
Understands that consistency is more important than simply getting one good bake
Careful with weighing, measurements and processes

Comfortable working with mixers, ovens, proofers and other bakery equipment
Serious about cleanliness and food safety

Punctual, reliable and responsible
Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Willing to learn, troubleshoot and improve

Bread / bagel / bakery production experience is preferred.

Candidates with culinary or baking school experience but limited commercial bread experience are also welcome to apply if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

$3,500–$4,500/month, depending on experience
