Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary IT point of contact for ASRS system integrators, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Own and manage the IT infrastructure supporting ASRS operations, including servers, network links, and interfaces between ASRS hardware, the Warehouse Control System (WCS), and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor ASRS-related system availability, uptime, and performance, proactively identifying risks to warehouse throughput and driving root-cause resolution of recurring issues.
- Support and lead integration projects between ASRS/WCS and enterprise systems, working with vendors and internal stakeholders on data flows, system testing, troubleshooting, and go-live cutovers.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls and network security across corporate and warehouse/ASRS networks. Implement appropriate network segmentation and access control policies to support IT convergence.
- Review network traffic and security logs, manage firmware and security patching, and lead the prevention, investigation, and response to unauthorized access and security incidents.
- Own IT operational processes, including incident, change, and problem management, and continuously drive improvements in IT service levels and operational efficiency.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the IT team, setting priorities and ensuring the timely resolution of IT issues with minimal disruption to warehouse and business operations.
- Manage IT budgets, procurement activities, and vendor contracts relevant to ASRS and general IT infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate IT and ASRS-related asset records, including hardware, software, software licenses, warranties, and support coverage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365) are an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with managing external vendors and system integrators including SLA and contract oversight.
- At least 10 years of relevant IT experience with minimal 3 years of supervisory role, preferably with exposure to infrastructure, warehouse, and ASRS system integration.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
