Hiring HR Manager — Manufacturing Operations

Location: Chemor, Perak (Factory) & Greentown, Perak (Corporate Office)
Salary: RM7,000 – RM8,000 per month (based on qualifications & experience)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands on HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of HR operations within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manpower planning, foreign worker management, employee relations, payroll, labour compliance, and social compliance audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
- Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and company policies.
- Handle disciplinary cases, grievances, misconduct, absenteeism, and employee relations matters.
- Develop manpower plans based on production schedules and business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for both local and foreign workers.
- Oversee foreign worker permits, visas, quotas, levies, renewals, and repatriation.
- Coordinate with recruitment agencies and relevant government authorities.
- Ensure ethical and compliant foreign worker recruitment practices.
- Manage employee onboarding, documentation, and orientation.
- Oversee payroll processing, overtime, shift allowances, and statutory contributions.
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage performance appraisals and employee improvement plans.
- Coach supervisors and team leaders on HR and people-management matters.
- Oversee foreign worker welfare, accommodation, documentation, and grievance mechanisms.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation for social compliance audits, including SMETA.
- Conduct internal HR compliance assessments and follow up on corrective action plans.
- Monitor employee turnover and implement employee retention initiatives.
- Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or operations-heavy environments.
- Strong experience managing full-spectrum HR functions.
- Hands-on experience managing foreign worker programmes, including permits, quotas, and welfare.
- Experience handling disciplinary cases, grievances, and labour relations.
- Experience with SMETA or equivalent social compliance audits is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and foreign worker regulations.
- Familiarity with SMETA, Sedex, and ethical trade frameworks.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, foreign worker levies, and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity with the ability to enforce HR policies fairly and consistently.
