Job Purpose

We are looking for a Finance Intern to join our Finance team in Selangor. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to daily finance and accounting operations while supporting the team in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and finance activities.
• Assist in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoice processing, payment documentation and updating records.
• Assist in checking invoices, payment vouchers, staff claims and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items where required.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining finance reports, schedules and spreadsheets.
• Perform data entry and ensure financial information is accurately recorded in the accounting system.
• Assist with proper filing and maintenance of financial documents and records.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of finance-related documents.
• Assist with audit, tax and other compliance-related documentation when required.
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain supporting documents or information required by the Finance team.
• Perform other finance-related and ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Responsible, willing to learn and able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Internship duration of at least 3 months is preferred.
