Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the construction, engineering, EPCC, or property development industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, services, and supplier markets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures, purchasing processes, and vendor management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with ERP, purchasing, or procurement systems will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple procurement requirements, and meet tight project deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites or suppliers when required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the full procurement process for construction and engineering projects, from sourcing and quotation to purchase order and delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and service providers to obtain competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Prepare and review RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure timely procurement of construction materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and services according to project requirements and schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, pricing, and compliance with agreed terms.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify new potential vendors.
• Coordinate closely with Project, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Site, Warehouse, and Finance departments to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled.
• Analyse market prices and conduct cost comparisons to achieve cost savings and value for money.
• Negotiate contracts, payment terms, lead times, warranties, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, approved budgets, and applicable industry standards.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to prevent delays that may affect project progress.
• Assist in resolving supplier-related issues including late deliveries, material shortages, quality concerns, and discrepancies.
• Maintain proper procurement records, supplier databases, price comparisons, and purchasing reports.
• Prepare regular procurement reports, cost analysis, and updates for management.
• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and supplier performance.
• Supervise and guide procurement staff or junior team members when required.
• Perform other procurement and commercial duties as assigned by management.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
