About the Job

• Corporate Distribution Bancassurance Manager/ Assistant Manager Business Development To execute strategies that have been laid out and develop new business strategies to achieve company's objectives in obtaining more business from OCBC branches and its clients.
• To develop new business strategies, i.e. canvass for new business leads and secure them through OCBC branches and its clients.
• To gather market intelligence for management planning and decision making.
• To conduct sales and business activities to OCBC branches and its clients.
• To monitor credit control on portfolios in care.
• To coach and develop subordinates in conducting the sales and business activities.
• To adhere to regulatory requirements and all other applicable policies and compliance matters concerning GEGM.
• To accept and underwrite new risk as per authorized underwriting limit. To develop new marketing approach and tools
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people with

• Tertiary qualification in any fields. AMII or DMII qualifications - preferable but not compulsory. 4-8 years working experience in similar capacity.
• Broad based general insurance experience in sales & marketing. Product knowledge and underwriting skills. Interpersonal relationship building skills.
• Job knowledge and application, Business and organisational knowledge, IT knowledge, Underwriting, selling skills, Relationship building.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
