Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, billing, payment preparation and collection follow-up.
  • Verify invoices and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue balances.

2. Accounting & Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly bank, vendor and customer account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments as required.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare regular financial reports, schedules and management reports.
  • Assist with monthly financial closing and variance analysis.
  • Monitor expenses and provide relevant financial information to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and other financial analysis when required.

4. Tax, Audit & Compliance

  • Assist with GST, tax-related matters and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare supporting documents and schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure financial processes and records comply with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies.

5. Finance Operations

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records and supporting documents.
  • Process staff expense claims and other finance-related payments.
  • Liaise with vendors, customers, banks, auditors and relevant internal departments on finance-related matters.
  • Assist with finance-related projects and other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with different departments.
  • Knowledge of Singapore GST and experience supporting audits will be an advantage.
  • Experience with accounting operations in a manufacturing or multinational environment will be an advantage.
