About the role

The Shift Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for supervising and monitoring electrical components including machinery control, lighting and wiring, generators, communications systems and electricity transmission systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall electrical system, instrument system and engineering activities

• Control and maintain good quality of facilities supply to support production and utility electrical needs

• Prepare for all repairs needs such as planning, breakdown analysis, required tools, technical drawings, spare parts and procedure before work commencement

• Carry out regular machinery inspection to prevent breakdown by performing preventive maintenance, including plant shutdown activity

• Propose, review and implement all plant changes, modification and improvement works with regards to the application of best engineering and maintenance practices

• Prepare and submit audit, documentation and report

• Implement cost control measures throughout the process

• Ensure Safety Regulations are adhered to and execute Emergency Response activity when needed

• Analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications

• Supervise the erection of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications quality requirement and applicable codes and standards

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum of Degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering field of study

• Minimum 5 years working experience in related field

• Steam Engineer 1st Grade or 2nd Grade or

• ICE Engineer 1st Grade or 2nd Grade is advantage.

• Familiar with Microsoft Operating System.

• Advanced problem solving skills.

• Advanced record keeping skills.

• Familiar with DCS, GTG Logic Control System,        

• AVR (Excitation controller), SCADA/PLC.

• Familiar with simulation program
