About the company:

An end-to-end provider of integrated energy storage and green infrastructure solutions, specializing in the "Green Power + Green AIDC" (AI Data Center) paradigm.

The company's  core business spans grid-side independent energy storage, computing power infrastructure with computing-electricity synergy, and multi-energy complementary smart microgrids. Expanding across Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, we deliver a global ecosystem built on localized execution, intelligent operation, and full-lifecycle investment management ("investment-financing-management-exit").

Role overview:

We are seeking Project Development Managers in Malaysia and Denmark. This is part of our strategic expansion from equipment manufacturing into independent development, investment, financing and operation of overseas power assets; after a self-invested power plant project was launched in Africa in August 2025.

In this role, You will be responsible for identifying greenfield project resources in the target countries, liaising with partners such as IPPs, advancing local approvals for land use, grid connection, and environmental impact assessments, negotiating PPA power purchase agreements, completing preliminary feasibility studies and internal project approval reviews, and delivering mature investment projects ready for transfer to the financing team.

Responsibilities:

Market Exploration & Lead Generation

  • Conduct market intelligence and on-site surveys in target regions to identify and secure greenfield PV and energy storage opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with IPPs, industrial parks, mining operators, and AI Data Center developers.
  • Establish and maintain a dynamic regional pipeline ledger of qualified project leads.

Permitting, Grid Interconnection & Risk Management

  • Lead the end-to-end local approval process, including land rights acquisition, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), project registration, and grid interconnection permits.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments covering regulatory compliance, land rights, local policy, grid capacity, and foreign exchange exposure.

Commercial Structuring & PPA Negotiations

  • Develop relationships with prospective off-takers and regional energy partners to build joint-venture or co-development models.
  • Co-lead negotiations for core commercial terms in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and joint development agreements.

Feasibility Analysis & Project Handover

  • Conduct preliminary project financial calculations and return modeling based on local electricity market dynamics and tariff structures.
  • Draft comprehensive feasibility reports and present projects for internal investment committee review.
  • Manage project documentation archives and coordinate cross-departmental handovers and due diligence with the project financing and engineering teams.

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in New Energy, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Economics, International Trade, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in early-stage greenfield development or investment execution for PV and energy storage projects.

  • Domain Knowledge:
  • Proven track record in early-stage lead origination, site acquisition, and permitting procedures in international markets.
  • Strong working knowledge of IPP models, basic PPA structures, grid connection approvals, and project return models.

  • Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (spoken and written) for international negotiation and documentation. Proficiency in local / regional languages is a strong advantage.

  • Soft Skills & Mobility:
  • Exceptional cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • High execution drive, detail-oriented mindset, and resilience in fast-paced project environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience developing energy storage systems paired with PV, off-grid microgrids for mining sites, or dedicated renewable power solutions for high-density computing and AI data centers.
