We're looking for a Senior Video Editor / Content Producer to join us on this journey.

This isn't a role where you simply receive footage, edit it and move on. You'll play an important part in shaping how our stories are told, how our content feels and how we keep viewers watching.

What You'll Be DoingInnovative Videography & Storytelling

• Lead and direct the creative process from pre-production to post-production with the objective to grow the channel
• Brainstorm, research and share creative content ideas to find winning videos to produce
• Capture high-quality footage that brings complex topics (business breakdowns, sales, finance, economy, property, etc.) to life
• Use cinematic storytelling techniques to enhance audience retention and emotional engagement
• You will sit in management discussions to propose on video production, format, ideas, editing direction and more

Dynamic Video Production

• Edit engaging long-form & short-form videos, including founder interviews, business breakdowns and other original content that simplifies information without losing impact.
• Incorporate B-roll, music, graphics, captions and sound design where appropriate.
• Turn raw footage into polished videos with strong storytelling, pacing and structure.
• Identify the strongest moments, hooks and insights within the footage.
• Maintain a consistent editing style and quality across Money by Design content.
• Manage revisions and ensure every video is polished and ready for publishing.
• Identify moments with strong standalone and shareable potential.

Be a Growth-Minded Editor

We don't expect our editor to single-handedly grow the channel. But we do want someone who understands that editing decisions affect how content performs.

You'll:

• Understand YouTube fundamentals such as hooks, audience retention, pacing and watch time.
• Use content performance and audience response to continuously improve future edits.
• Spot areas where viewers may lose interest and suggest ways to make the content stronger.
• Stay curious about what's working across YouTube and short-form platforms.
• Bring ideas to the team rather than simply waiting for editing instructions.

Experience managing, editing for or helping to grow a YouTube channel is a huge plus.

Own Your Projects

Managing and working across multiple projects to reach assigned deadlines is one of the key responsibilities of this role.

You'll often have several videos at different stages of production at the same time. We need someone who can confidently own that process.

• Manage multiple long-form and short-form projects concurrently.
• Keep projects moving efficiently from raw footage to first cut, review, revisions and final delivery.
• Organize raw footage, project files and completed creative assets.
• Communicate proactively about timelines, feedback and potential delays.
• Take ownership of deadlines without needing constant follow-up.

Being organized, dependable and accountable is just as important to us as being creative.

Expected Production Output

Our anticipated production cadence is approximately:

2 long-form YouTube videos per week3-4 YouTube Shorts / Instagram Reels per week

We're looking for someone who can develop an efficient editing workflow that allows us to publish consistently while maintaining strong storytelling and quality.

What We're Looking For

• Strong video editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating your work.
• Experience editing long-form YouTube content.
• Experience creating Shorts, Reels or other vertical short-form content.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing and viewer retention.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Cap cut or equivalent.
• Comfortable working with B-roll, captions, graphics, music and basic sound design.
• Strong project and file management habits.
• Attention to detail and strong quality control.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and turning revisions around efficiently.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Genuine interest in business, entrepreneurship, money and founder stories is highly preferred.

Huge Plus If You...

• Have helped manage or grow a YouTube channel.
• Understand YouTube analytics such as audience retention, watch time and click-through rate.
• Have edited founder interviews, podcasts, documentaries, business or educational content.
• Know how to identify highly engaging or shareable moments from long-form footage.
• Understand how editing differs between long-form YouTube, Shorts and Instagram Reels.
• Can contribute ideas on hooks, storytelling and video structure, not just execute an edit.
