Sales Manager / Education SalesAbout the Role

IT STEP Academy is looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a hands-on sales role focused on student recruitment and enrollment. You will be responsible for contacting potential students and parents, making cold and hot calls, following up with leads through WhatsApp and other channels, arranging consultations, presenting our education programs, and converting prospects into paid enrollments.

The ideal candidate is confident, target-driven, comfortable with daily sales communication, and motivated by achieving sales results.

Key Responsibilities

• Make daily cold and hot calls to prospective students and parents.
• Respond to and follow up with leads through WhatsApp, phone calls, and other communication channels.
• Arrange consultations and meetings with students and parents.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable IT STEP Academy programs.
• Present course information, benefits, pricing, and enrollment options.
• Follow up consistently with potential customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Handle customer questions and objections professionally.
• Convert qualified leads into paid student enrollments.
• Achieve monthly sales and enrollment targets.
• Maintain accurate lead and customer information in the CRM.
• Track sales pipeline and follow-up activities.
• Work closely with the marketing and academy teams to improve lead conversion.
• Provide a positive customer experience from the first contact through enrollment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, telesales, education sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable making phone calls and WhatsApp follow-ups.
• Strong ability to handle objections and close sales.
• Target-oriented and motivated by achieving measurable results.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for sales results.
• Experience in education, training, technology, or IT sales is an advantage.
• Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia or other languages is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time
• Monday to Friday
• 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Alternative schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Includes a lunch break.

Salary & Benefits

• Fixed basic salary: RM3,500 per month
• Performance-based KPI bonus
• Average total monthly earning potential of around RM8,000+, depending on performance
