We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team as an Inspection Engineer. This position is suitable for candidates who are interested in developing hands-on experience in NDT, asset inspection, engineering analysis, and site project execution. Role Overview
The Inspection Engineer supports inspection and NDT activities under the guidance of senior engineers or project leads. The role involves preparing inspection activities, performing field assessments, evaluating inspection results, preparing technical documentation, and supporting project coordination.
The successful candidate will also be expected to continuously develop technical knowledge, site experience, communication skills, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently as experience grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection Planning: Assist in preparing inspection scopes, procedures, schedules, manpower, equipment, and project resources.
- NDT & Inspection: Perform NDT and inspection activities in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Technical Evaluation: Review inspection findings and assist in identifying defects, abnormalities, and asset conditions.
- Equipment Readiness: Ensure inspection equipment is properly prepared, calibrated, checked, and maintained.
- Technical Reporting: Compile inspection data and findings into clear and accurate technical reports.
- Codes & Standards: Ensure inspection activities comply with relevant industry codes, procedures, and client requirements.
- Quality Control: Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and quality of inspection activities and results.
- HSE Compliance: Follow company and client health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth site execution.
- Project Support: Assist with manpower, equipment mobilisation, documentation, and project progress monitoring.
- Client Liaison: Communicate professionally with clients regarding project progress, inspection activities, and findings.
- Technical Development: Participate in training and practical activities to strengthen NDT and asset integrity competencies.
- Documentation: Maintain complete and organised inspection, equipment, and project records.
- Continuous Improvement: Support improvements in inspection quality, productivity, safety, and project efficiency.
- Site Project Coordination: Manage daily site activities, resources, progress, communication, issues, and project close-out documentation when assigned.
The Inspection Engineer is expected to:
- Deliver inspection activities safely and according to required procedures.
- Support accurate and reliable NDT and inspection results.
- Maintain proper inspection records and technical documentation.
- Ensure equipment is suitable and ready for field operations.
- Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and supervisors.
- Support efficient manpower, equipment, and resource utilisation.
- Participate actively in technical and professional development.
- Contribute to quality, safety, and operational improvements.
- Support projects from mobilisation and site execution through reporting and close-out.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
