Job Purpose

The Patrolling Officer is responsible for conducting regular and systematic patrols throughout all assigned sites to ensure security standards, operational procedures, site conditions, and guard performance are maintained. The officer also acts as a key communication link between the client, site security team, and Operations Manager by identifying issues, gathering feedback, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work1. Site Patrol & Security Monitoring

  • Conduct regular and scheduled patrols across all assigned sites, including common areas, entrances, guardhouses, car parks, facilities, service areas, perimeter areas, and other designated locations.
  • Monitor the overall security condition of each site and identify any security risks, operational deficiencies, safety concerns, damage, or unusual activities.
  • Ensure security personnel are alert, properly deployed, correctly positioned, and performing their duties in accordance with the approved SOP and post orders.
  • Check compliance with site-specific security procedures, access control requirements, visitor management, patrol routines, and other operational instructions.
  • Immediately report any serious security breach, incident, negligence, or abnormal condition to the Operations Manager.

2. Site Inspection & Reporting

  • Conduct routine inspections and spot checks without prior notice where necessary.
  • Prepare clear and accurate patrol/inspection reports, including observations, deficiencies, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Follow up on previously reported issues to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
  • Escalate unresolved or recurring issues to the Operations Manager for further action.

3. Client Communication & Feedback

  • Meet and communicate professionally with the client, Management Office, JMB/MC representatives, or appointed representatives during site visits.
  • Obtain feedback regarding the performance of security personnel, service quality, SOP compliance, and any operational concerns.
  • Discuss reported issues with the client and understand their expectations and required corrective actions.
  • Report all significant client feedback and concerns to the Operations Manager promptly.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with clients while ensuring that all commitments and instructions are properly communicated to the Operations Team.

4. Supervisor Relief & Site Coverage

  • Act as a relief Supervisor whenever the appointed Site Supervisor is on leave, absent, or otherwise unavailable.
  • Take full responsibility for the Supervisor's operational duties during the relief period, including deployment monitoring, guard discipline, briefing, attendance, post coverage, incident management, and client communication.
  • Ensure the site continues to operate smoothly and that there is no disruption to security coverage during the Supervisor's absence.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager on any significant operational, manpower, disciplinary, or client-related matters during the relief assignment.

5. Incident & Emergency Response

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, complaints, or operational issues identified during patrols.
  • Assist the site team in managing incidents and ensure the relevant SOPs and escalation procedures are followed.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing incident reports and ensure significant incidents are immediately communicated to the Operations Manager.

6. Operational Support

  • Assist the Operations Manager in monitoring overall site performance and identifying areas requiring improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to improve security deployment, manpower utilization, SOP compliance, and service quality.
  • Conduct additional site visits or inspections as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Perform other security and operational duties reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager.

The Patrolling Officer is expected to demonstrate:

  • Effective communication and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to identify security risks and operational weaknesses.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
  • Readiness to assume Supervisor responsibilities when required.
  • Prompt escalation and follow-up of security and operational issues.
  • Consistent compliance with company SOPs, site instructions, and client requirements.

Primary Objective: To ensure all assigned sites are regularly monitored, security standards are consistently maintained, client feedback is effectively managed, and operational issues are promptly identified, reported, and followed up through the Operations Manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
