Role Description The Insurance Advisor is a full-time role based in Petaling Jaya, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. The advisor will meet with clients to assess their insurance and financial needs, analyze existing coverage, and recommend suitable protection and investment solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing proposals, explaining policy terms and benefits, handling client inquiries, and providing ongoing policy reviews. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, following up on renewals, coordinating with insurers for applications and claims, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The advisor is expected to build a portfolio of clients through referrals and networking while delivering consistent, high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Insurance products and basic Finance principles.
  • Experience in Consulting or advisory roles, with the ability to analyze client needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Relevant certification or license in insurance or financial services (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing time and priorities effectively in a hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency in basic office software and digital tools used for client management and documentation.
  • Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial planning is an advantage; fresh graduates with strong motivation are also encouraged to apply.
