Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical drawings, and project coordination.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.

• Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify and resolve project-related issues.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.

• Adaptable, willing to learn, and able to take on new responsibilities as required.

• Ability to accurately read and interpret civil and structural engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and material management.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Able to work effectively under pressure and proactively address site-related challenges.

• Possess own transport and willing to travel as required.

• Willing to respond to work-related matters outside normal working hours when necessary.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Monitor and track construction progress against the approved project programme and report any deviations or delays.

• Review and verify plans, drawings, quantities, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and review technical documentation, including method statements, material submissions, shop drawings, and related documents.

• Prepare, verify, and maintain site reports, progress updates, records, and other required documentation.

• Coordinate drawings, design revisions, and technical documentation for submission and approval by consultants and clients.

• Work closely with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications and schedules.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams on technical and project-related matters.

• Review and verify work progress claims, invoices, variation orders, and related supporting documents.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring site construction activities.

• Assist in cost control and budget monitoring, including identifying opportunities to optimize resources and reduce unnecessary costs.

• Support and monitor QA/QC and safety compliance at the project site.

• Monitor and coordinate the allocation of project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.

• Attend project and site meetings and provide relevant technical input and updates.

• Identify and recommend improvements to work processes, efficiency, and safety practices on site.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical and site-related issues to minimise disruption to project progress.
