Responsibilities

Marketing Coordinator — Content & Social Media

Full-time | Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

CraveLab is a growing marketing agency working with brands across Australia and Malaysia, and we're looking for a Marketing Coordinator — Content & Social Media to join our team.

This is a video-first, hands-on role for someone who loves creating content but is also organised enough to keep content calendars and client deliverables moving.

You'll work directly with the Founder across the full content process — from ideas and planning to filming, editing, copywriting and delivery.

The heart of the role is content creation and production. Most of your time will be spent developing ideas, filming and editing, followed by content planning and coordination. Client communication, influencer outreach, reporting and CraveLab's own content make up a smaller part of the role.

We're happy to train the right person. We care more about creative instincts, exceptional English, aesthetic sense, organisation and initiative than years of experience.

What you'll doContent creation & production

  • Develop content ideas, hooks, scripts and concepts
  • Film short-form content using iPhone and camera
  • Edit polished Reels, TikToks and other social content
  • Capture photography during client shoots
  • Stay on top of social trends and translate them into relevant content ideas
  • Support CraveLab and founder-led content
  • Occasionally attend client shoots, PR events and launches to capture content

Content planning & coordination

  • Plan and manage monthly client content calendars
  • Own the content pipeline in ClickUp — keeping shoots, edits, approvals, revisions and deadlines on track
  • Write captions and social copy across different brand voices
  • Support day-to-day client communication around content, feedback and approvals
  • Research influencers, conduct outreach and coordinate collaborations
  • Prepare monthly social reports and identify key content learnings

Who we're looking for

Native or near-native written and spoken English is essential as you'll work with clients and audiences across Australia and APAC.

You should:

  • Have a strong aesthetic eye and understanding of visual storytelling
  • Be confident filming on both iPhone and camera
  • Be a strong short-form video editor — CapCut proficiency is essential
  • Understand pacing, hooks, captions, transitions and what makes social content engaging
  • Have strong copywriting skills and be able to adapt between brand voices
  • Have a sharp read on what's current across Instagram and TikTok
  • Be creative, organised and comfortable juggling multiple clients and deadlines
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients
  • Take initiative rather than waiting to be told every next step
  • Be curious about AI and excited to use it to work smarter

Photography skills and experience with mirrorless/DSLR cameras are a strong plus.

You don't need to be an AI expert — we're happy to teach you our workflows.

How we work

This role is based at our Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur office and requires you to work from the office most days, particularly during your probation and training period.

Hybrid working may be available after successfully completing probation, once you're comfortable managing your responsibilities independently.

You'll work closely with the Founder and receive hands-on training across content strategy, production, client communication and AI workflows, with opportunities to take on more account ownership as you grow.
