Responsibilities

Company Description Electrocorr Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (EESB) is a Malaysian-owned company established in 2002, specializing in cathodic protection, corrosion survey, and corrosion control solutions and services. The company delivers end-to-end support for corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems, covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. EESB provides solutions such as Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) for buried pipelines, tank bottom plates, submerged structures, marine piles, and oil and gas platforms. The team also audits and monitors existing plants and pipelines to assess current conditions and compile detailed reports aligned with client requirements. Services include CIP survey, DCVG coating defect survey, AC interference mitigation, pipeline monitoring, and plant corrosion audits such as soil resistivity surveys and current drainage tests.

Role Description This is a full-time Electrical Engineer role based in Bandar Klang with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Electrical Engineer will support the design and analysis of electrical systems related to cathodic protection and corrosion control projects, including power distribution and control circuits. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and calculations, assisting with system specification and equipment selection, and supporting project execution from design through commissioning. The role involves conducting site visits, performing testing and measurements, documenting results, and contributing to technical reports and client presentations. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements while meeting project timelines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of fundamental electrical principles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including the ability to read and produce electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Power Systems and Power Distribution, particularly in industrial and infrastructure environments.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of cathodic protection systems, corrosion control, or oil and gas infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Ability to conduct site work, perform measurements, and prepare accurate technical documentation and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical and safety standards; professional certification or registration is a plus.
