About the role

We are seeking a Kitchen Crew member to join Satetori in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, consistency and efficiency of our kitchen operations. As a Kitchen Crew member, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, contributing to the preparation and delivery of exceptional dishes that define our dining experience. Your work will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers and the reputation of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, cutting, and portioning food items according to standardised recipes and portion sizes

• In charge of the satay grilling and plating of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality standards are maintained

• Operating kitchen equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens and stovetops, whilst adhering to safety and hygiene protocols

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work stations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment throughout service and at the end of each shift

• Following food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations

• Supporting inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or expired items

• Responding to service demands by working efficiently during peak times and collaborating with other kitchen team members

• Communicating effectively with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery

• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations

• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment for extended periods

• Excellent time management and organisational skills
