Role Description The Accountant role at Insight Genesis – IGAi is a full-time remote position responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. This includes maintaining general ledgers, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and account balances, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. The accountant prepares financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting activities, and monitors cash flow and expense allocations. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, collaborating with internal teams on financial data and metrics, and assisting with audits and financial controls. The accountant will work closely with leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions and sustainable growth.

• Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Proficiency with accounting and finance software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ERP systems) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide clear, data-driven recommendations.
• Understanding of tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls in a corporate or startup setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Experience in technology, AI, fintech, or data-focused organizations is beneficial, along with an interest in Insight Genesis’s mission.
