Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Process Quality Engineer role based in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The Process Quality Engineer will monitor and improve manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality, reliability, and compliance with internal and customer requirements. Daily responsibilities include analyzing process data, conducting root cause investigations for quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with production, engineering, and maintenance teams. The role also involves developing and maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting in the introduction and qualification of new products or processes. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance yields, reduce defects, and strengthen overall quality performance.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Product Quality to monitor production output and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Quality Management capabilities to develop, implement, and maintain effective quality systems and standards.
• Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret process data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, or a related high-volume production environment is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related technical field is preferred.
• Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (such as 8D, FMEA, SPC) and continuous improvement tools (such as Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Bayan Lepas and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
