The DevOps Engineer helps build, operate, and improve the infrastructure and deployment platform that application teams rely on to deliver software. This role contributes to the reliability, security, and efficiency of shared compute, delivery, and observability systems across cloud and on-premise environments, working under the guidance of senior engineers and the team lead.

Responsibilities :

Platform Operations & Reliability

• Help operate a multi-cluster container orchestration platform spanning cloud and on-premise environments
• Support GitOps-based continuous delivery systems and assist application teams with deployment workflows
• Contribute to the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of shared cloud accounts and infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations, respond to platform-level incidents, and assist with root cause analysis

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Build and maintain infrastructure using code, following established patterns
• Help develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support diverse application teams
• Automate operational workflows and reduce repetitive work through scripting and tooling
• Take ownership of well-scoped automation projects from design through delivery

Observability & Monitoring

• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for platform health and application-level visibility
• Instrument infrastructure to provide actionable insights to the platform team and application owners

Collaboration & Growth

• Work with senior engineers to evaluate tooling and apply established patterns
• Support migration and modernization efforts across environments
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on day-to-day platform needs
• Document runbooks, configurations, and operational procedures

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a closely related software/infrastructure role
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent) in a non-trivial environment
• Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform, or similar)
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and continuous delivery patterns
• Experience working across multiple environments (cloud, on-premise, or hybrid)
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for tooling and automation
• Solid networking fundamentals — ingress, load balancing, DNS
• Exposure to CI/CD pipeline design or maintenance
• Familiarity with observability practices — metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to dig into unfamiliar systems

Preferred

• Exposure to platforms that serve multiple independent application teams
• Familiarity with event streaming or message broker infrastructure
• Experience with application server administration
• A bias toward automating repetitive work
• Clear written and verbal communication, especially around technical trade-offs
• Exposure to database operations or maintenance workflows
• Familiarity with AI-powered development and operations tools (e.g., Claude, AWS Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar AI assistants)
