The AC Technician / Chiller Maintenance Technician is responsible for hands-on servicing, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of air-conditioning and chilled-water systems at Ecoflow project sites. The role supports reliable equipment operation, safe site execution and the delivery of HVAC energy-efficiency projects for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for air-conditioning equipment, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems and chillers.
Inspect and service filters, coils, drains, blowers, motors, pumps and other mechanical components to maintain reliable operation.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigerant and basic control faults, and carry out repairs or component replacement where authorised.
Support operational checks of chillers, chilled-water pumps, condenser-water pumps, cooling towers and related plant equipment.
Take and record operating readings such as temperature, pressure, current draw and equipment condition, and report abnormal findings promptly.
Assist with installation, testing, commissioning, equipment replacement and site works for HVAC upgrades, sensors, meters and energy-efficiency projects.
Support Ecoflow project teams with baseline and post-implementation site checks, technical observations and accurate field data.
Complete service reports and maintenance records, and comply with site safety, permit-to-work, PPE and client requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related trade.
Preferably at least 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, air-conditioning servicing or chiller maintenance.
Practical knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, pumps, motors, cooling towers and basic HVAC electrical systems.
Able to use common HVAC diagnostic tools such as manifold gauges, multimeters, clamp meters and temperature instruments.
Able to read basic technical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and maintenance procedures.
Reliable, safety-conscious, willing to work across client sites and able to communicate clearly with engineers, contractors and facility teams.
PREFERRED
Relevant refrigerant handling, WSH or Work-at-Height certifications are advantageous. A valid Class 3 driving licence is also preferred.
Pay: $2,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
