The incumbent shall be responsible for the overall operation of the security department in the protection of hotel property, guests and staff and their properties.
Responsibilities
To establish and maintain a high standard of security awareness for the safety and well-being of all hotel guests and staff, while effectively planning, coordinating, and managing the hotel’s security activities.
To review security measures implemented in the hotel on regular basis, improve on these measures to tighten up the security of the hotel.
To liaise with government authority and the Police on matters pertaining to hotel security issues.
To be responsible for all emergency situations and evacuations. To work closely with Engineering department and to carry out periodic training drills and administers fire safety standards.
To conduct regular security risk assessments and implement corrective measures to mitigate identified vulnerabilities
To respond to and investigate security incidents, breaches and emergency situations in a timely and professional manner.
To ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and security legislation.
Requirement
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the hospitality industry.
Professional certification in security management or equivalent qualification.
Sound judgement and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations
