Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes.
• Recommend reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the occupier’s undertaking in the workplace.
• Implement safe work procedures.
• Enter, inspect and examine the workplace.
• Inspect and examine any machinery, equipment, plant, installation or article in the workplace.
• Inspect/verify workplace records, certificates, notices, safety documents and any other relevant documents.
• Assess the levels of noise, illumination, heat or harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace and the exposure levels of persons at work.
• Respond promptly to and investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the worksite and advise on the remedial control measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence.
• Assist the management in EHS promotion to promote awareness among workers by organizing campaigns, training courses, competitions, etc.
• Member of the Risk Management Team and be involved in reviewing and commenting on Risk Assessments.
• Conduct Safety Induction Training.
• Manage sub-contractors’ safety implementation and ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety standards, policies and practices.
• Review and approve sub-con’s safety plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Generate and submit weekly inspection reports, warning letters, and monthly safety management slides.
• Participate in monthly WSH compliance inspections together with management.
• Conduct emergency drills and toolbox meetings.
• Oversee all other matters relating to WSH.
• Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as the superior/management deem fit.
  
  

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Registered Fire Safety Manager and/or Registered Environmental Control Officer (good to have).
  
  

Experience

• At least 2 years of work experience in construction sites.
  
  

Specific Skills/Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of WSH Act and subsidiary legislations and other safety regulations from NEA, SCDF, BCA, HDB etc.
• Strong site enforcement and intervention skills.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
