Mechanical Engineer

BroadTech Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering projects involving equipment, mechanical systems and technical solutions. The position combines design work, engineering calculations, site coordination and practical problem-solving.

The role is suitable for an engineer who can work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal team members.

Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical designs, drawings and technical documentation for engineering projects.
Perform basic engineering calculations and review mechanical specifications.
Assist with equipment selection and evaluation based on project requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on technical matters, drawings and equipment details.
Review project requirements and identify practical engineering solutions.
Support installation, testing, inspection and commissioning activities when required.
Investigate technical issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Monitor project progress and ensure engineering work is completed according to agreed specifications and timelines.
Maintain accurate project records, drawings and technical documentation.
Follow applicable engineering, workplace safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering or a similar role is preferred.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Familiarity with common engineering design and documentation practices.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable communicating with suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders.
Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
Willing to support site-related work when required.

Role Expectations

The successful candidate should be practical, technically minded and comfortable taking responsibility for engineering tasks from initial planning through implementation. A hands-on approach and good coordination skills will be important for working effectively across different project requirements.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
