Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Application Maintenance / Production Support Engineer to support and maintain enterprise applications within the Client Entitlement Workflow (CEW) and Payment Data Repository (PDR) environment.

The role will be responsible for providing L1/L2-level application support, troubleshooting production issues, monitoring application performance, performing basic technical analysis, and supporting application enhancements and maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot, Oracle Database, and Unix/Linux environments. Experience with JBoss, Apache, Kafka, JWT, shell scripting, or financial services environments will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Provide application maintenance and production support for CEW & PDR applications.

Monitor application health, scheduled jobs, interfaces, and production processes.

Perform initial investigation and troubleshooting of application incidents.

Analyze application logs, error messages, and system behaviour to identify root causes.

Troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot application issues and escalate complex issues when required.

Perform basic SQL queries and data checks using Oracle Database 12c/19c.

Support application deployments, configuration changes, and release activities.

Execute operational procedures and production support activities according to established processes.

Work with development, infrastructure, database, and application teams to resolve production incidents.

Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.

Prepare incident reports, technical documentation, and support procedures.

Support batch jobs, interfaces, and file-processing activities.

Assist with application testing, defect verification, and post-release validation.

Follow application support procedures, security policies, and change management standards.

Participate in on-call or after-hours support when required.

Ensure production issues are resolved within agreed service levels.

Mandatory Requirements

1–3 years of relevant IT/application support or software development experience

Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot

Working knowledge of Oracle Database 12c / 19c

Experience working in Unix / Linux environments

Basic understanding of application troubleshooting and production support

Basic understanding of SQL and database queries

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work in a production environment and handle incidents systematically

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
