Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Videographer / Video Editor who is both a strong visual storyteller and a thoughtful Director of Photography. This person should be able to understand the purpose behind each piece of content, shape raw ideas and footage into a compelling narrative, and make intentional decisions about camera, lighting, composition, movement and visual style.

The ideal candidate does not simply capture footage or edit according to instructions. They think ahead about the final story and edit while planning the shoot, ensuring that every shot contributes meaningfully to the narrative, emotion and audience experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute video concepts with a clear understanding of the story, message, emotion and intended audience.

• Translate a brief or idea into a strong visual narrative with a clear beginning, progression and payoff.

• Approach every shoot with a Director of Photography mindset, making intentional decisions about:

  • Camera angles and lens choices

  • Composition and framing

  • Lighting and exposure

  • Camera movement

  • Subject blocking and performance

  • Shot variety, continuity and visual consistency

• Plan shots with the final edit in mind, ensuring sufficient coverage, cutaways, B-roll and detail shots to build a coherent story.

• Capture footage that is not only technically strong but also supports the pacing, emotion and purpose of the final video.

• Identify the strongest visual opportunities during production and proactively adjust the shot plan when necessary.

• Transform raw footage into engaging videos with strong storytelling, pacing, structure, hooks and visual flow.

• Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to develop storyboards, shot lists and visual directions.

Requirements

• Strong storytelling ability, with a portfolio demonstrating the ability to turn ideas, events or raw footage into clear and engaging narratives.

• Strong visual judgment and an understanding of how framing, lighting, composition, camera movement and shot selection influence a story.

• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute shoots from a visual storytelling perspective, rather than simply capturing coverage.

• Ability to anticipate the edit while shooting and capture footage with the final narrative, pacing and audience retention in mind.

• Strong understanding of cinematic principles, including visual continuity, subject positioning, depth, perspective, lighting and movement.

• Ability to make confident creative decisions on set and adapt the visual approach according to the story, location, talent and available resources.

• Portfolio should demonstrate both strong editing and intentional camera work—not just technically polished footage.
