You should have

• Strong commercial fit-out experience with no less than 7 years of working experience. 
• Excellent AutoCAD and technical detailing skills.
• Good understanding of joinery, materials and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to identify problems independently and recommend solutions.
• High standards without a “hero” or information-hoarding mentality.

Can you look at a beautiful design and immediately understand how it should actually be built?

DDA is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Designer to strengthen our commercial interiors team.

We need someone who understands construction, detailing and coordination—not simply someone who can produce CAD drawings.

What you will do

• Translate approved designs into clear, coordinated construction drawings.
• Develop detailed joinery, ceiling, partition, flooring and interior details.
• Identify technical and constructability issues before they reach site.
• Coordinate architectural, M&E and specialist information.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and technical proposals.
• Resolve RFIs and site issues with practical solutions.
• Support and mentor younger designers.
• Help build DDA's standard details and technical knowledge library.
