About the role
Coordinate and liaise with consultants, contractors, site personnel, and project teams on all Quantity Surveying matters. Assist in pre- and post-contract administration, including taking-off quantities, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ), material procurement, tendering, and contract award processes. Conduct site valuation and measurement, monthly interim payment certification, Variation Order (VO) assessment, final accounts, and other related QS activities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and liaise with consultants, contractors, site personnel, and project teams on all Quantity Surveying matters
- Assist in pre- and post-contract administration, including taking-off quantities, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ), material procurement, tendering, and contract award processes
- Conduct site valuation and measurement, monthly interim payment certification, Variation Order (VO) assessment, final accounts, and other related QS activities
- Attend site meetings, project meetings, and meetings with clients and consultants
- Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within the approved budget
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time
About you
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with a property developer, main contractor, or consultancy
- Experience in pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying work
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, contract administration, and contract law
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and favourable terms
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Self-motivated, responsible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Willing to travel to project sites and attend site meetings when required
