Job Summary: We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to serve as the first point of contact for our manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility is to secure the front gate and control access to the premises. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, meticulous management of the visitor and truck driver registration process flow, and the efficient coordination of all vehicular and pedestrian traffic entering and exiting the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Access Control & Registration

· Visitor Management: Greet all visitors, contractors, and vendors upon arrival. Verify appointment confirmations, issue visitor form, and maintain a detailed physical visitor log.

· Truck Driver Registration: Manage the check-in and check-out process for all truck drivers. Verify delivery order with Authorise Signature, collect necessary documentation (Bills of Lading, Consignment note), and specific safety rules or orientation briefs to drivers before they proceed to the loading docks.

· Employee Verification: Verify employee identification badges to ensure only authorized personnel enter the facility.

· Contractor Compliance: Ensure that all contractors sign in and present valid safety certifications / Contractor letter (e.g., OSHA, site-specific training) before granting access to work sites.

2. Traffic Flow & Yard Management

· Traffic Coordination: Direct and manage the flow of all vehicles (private cars, box trucks, and motorcycle) approaching and exiting the front gate to prevent congestion on public roadways front gate area and within the facility yard.

· Queue Management: Organize staging area for incoming and outgoing trucks, ensuring drivers follow the designated waiting protocols to maintain an orderly queue.

· Pedestrian Safety: Enforce designated pedestrian walkways near the gate area to ensure the safety of employees walking to and from the office / parking lot, separating them from heavy vehicle traffic.

3. Security & Surveillance

· Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the perimeter fence line and parking lots to check for security breaches, unauthorized vehicles, or safety hazards.

· Monitoring: Monitor CCTV systems, focusing on the gate area, dock doors, and high-value material storage areas visible from the guard shack.

· Incident Response: Respond to alarms, security breaches, or safety incidents. Document all incidents (accidents, theft, safety violations) in a daily activity log using clear and concise language.

4. Safety & Compliance

· Emergency Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) entering the facility during an incident, guiding them directly to the location of the emergency.

· Safety Enforcement: Enforce site safety rules, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety shoe, vests, safety glasses) for all visitors and drivers entering operational areas.

Qualifications & Skills

· Education: High school (SPM/STPM/SVM) or diploma equivalent (DKM) required.

· Experience: Previous experience in security companies or military preferred. Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting is highly desirable.

· Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly over a two-way radio and write detailed, factual incident reports.

· Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills & must be able to remain courteous and calm when dealing with impatient drivers or frustrated visitors.

· Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain); and occasionally climb stairs or ladders to inspect vehicles.

Working Conditions

· Environment: Combination of indoor guard shack/office and outdoor gate duty.

· Schedule: working time 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday (5 days per week) and subject to overtime coverage upon request (depending on facility operations).

· Noise Level: Moderate to loud; exposure to diesel truck fumes and industrial noise near the gate area.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
