The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester to join a high-profile project within the banking sector. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring system readiness through comprehensive UAT planning, execution, and defect management, working closely with business and IT stakeholders to support a smooth go live.
What You'll DO
• Review BRDs, FSDs, and process flows to derive full test coverage
• Develop UAT test scenarios, cases, and test data covering positive, negative, and exception conditions
• Execute test cases, document results, and log defects clearly
• Track defects with detailed documentation and evidence, working with IT to resolve issues
• Support retesting, regression testing, and readiness activities for go-live
• Maintain complete UAT evidence for audit, compliance, and governance purposes
• Collaborate with Project Owners, IT, Vendors, PMO, and other stakeholders, providing timely progress updates
What We're Looking For
• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• 2–4 years of UAT, QA, or business testing experience
• Strong understanding of UAT methodology and SDLC
• Ability to interpret BRDs/FSDs and design corresponding test cases
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
• Exposure to banking or digital platforms is preferred
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and proactive communication skills
