Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to support the delivery of a complex credit card portfolio migration across payment schemes. Working closely with the overall program lead, the consultant will lead selected migration workstreams, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and develop high-quality analyses and deliverables to support key program decisions.
The role will focus on translating migration objectives into actionable workstream plans, facilitating
stakeholder alignment, managing interdependencies and supporting migration readiness across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, finance and communications.
The successful candidate should combine strong cards and payments knowledge with management
consulting experience, including structured problem-solving, workshop facilitation, change management, executive communication and the development of clear, decision-oriented deliverables.
Main Responsibilities
Migration workstream delivery
- Lead selected migration workstreams under the direction of the overall program lead.
- Translate program objectives into detailed workstream plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and decision requirements.
- Drive day-to-day workstream execution and follow through on agreed actions, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Coordinate activities across business, operations, technology, risk, fraud, compliance, product, marketing, finance.
- Support migration readiness assessments, implementation planning, cutover preparation, and post- migration stabilization.
Cards portfolio migration
- Support the development of migration strategies covering portfolio segmentation, migration waves, customer treatments, and execution sequencing.
- Lead or support product mapping across card products, features, pricing, rewards, benefits and customer value propositions.
- Assess potential customer and operational impacts arising from migration decisions.
- Review customer journeys and recommend actions to minimize disruption, attrition, and customer complaints.
- Support the development and review of customer communication and change plans in coordination with relevant client teams.
- Ensure workstream recommendations consider regulatory, compliance, operational and brand requirements.
Consulting and change management
- Apply structured problem-solving to define issues, develop hypotheses, conduct analysis and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements, resolve issues and align on decisions.
- Develop high-quality client deliverables, including analysis, implementation roadmaps, status updates and executive presentations.
- Support stakeholder and change impact assessments across affected business and operational teams.
- Identify readiness gaps and support the development of change, communication, training, and adoption actions.
- Bring relevant payments, migration, and consulting perspectives to strengthen client decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in consulting, project management, payments, cards, or banking transformation programs.
- Proven experience leading large-scale cards, payments, or payment scheme migration initiatives.
- Strong understanding of card issuing, payment processing, authorization, clearing and settlement ecosystems.
- Experience managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and workstreams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
- Experience preparing senior management and steering committee materials.
- Experience working on scheme migration, BIN migration, or core card platform transformation programs.
- Understanding of card operations, fraud, risk, customer servicing, rewards, and loyalty programs.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with regional or multi-market banking programs.
