Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Electrical Overhead Travelling (EOT) Crane & Goods Hoist Technician to join our team.

The position involves maintenance, servicing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, fabrication and modification of various types of Electrical Overhead Travelling (EOT) Cranes and Goods Hoists at our workshop and customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repair of various types of EOT Cranes, Overhead Travelling Cranes and Goods Hoists.
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical and electrical crane components.
• Diagnose and repair crane motors, brakes, gearboxes, limit switches, contactors, pendant controls, remote controls, cables and other related components.
• Carry out fabrication and modification of crane structures, components and related equipment.
• Assist in crane installation, dismantling, modification and upgrading works. (Experience in these areas will be an added advantage)
• Perform servicing and repair works at customer premises and project sites.
• Carry out testing and functional checks after servicing or repair works.
• Assist with load testing and other testing requirements for lifting equipment. (Experience in these areas will be an added advantage)
• Prepare service reports and record work completed.
• Follow company safety procedures and customer site safety requirements.
• Perform other maintenance and technical duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience in EOT Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Goods Hoists, Lifting Equipment, Machinery Maintenance or related work will be an advantage.
• Experience in mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, welding, fabrication or modification works will be an added advantage.
• Able to use basic hand tools and electrical/mechanical testing equipment.
• Able to understand basic mechanical and electrical systems.
• Able to troubleshoot equipment problems and carry out repair works.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and project locations.
• Comfortable working at height and in industrial environments.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Work will be carried out at the company's workshop and at customer/project sites.
• Travel to customer premises within Selangor and other locations may be required.
• Overtime, weekend or public holiday work may occasionally be required depending on customer requirements and project schedules.
