Job Summary

Responsible for managing project costs, contracts, measurements, and commercial matters throughout the construction project lifecycle. The role will work closely with the Project, Engineering, Procurement, and Site teams to ensure proper cost control and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), budgets, and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
• Prepare and evaluate tender, quotation, and subcontractor comparison.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and progress payments.
• Prepare and submit interim payment claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Review subcontractor quotations, invoices, and payment applications.
• Assist in contract administration and commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Track project expenditure and provide regular cost reports and forecasts to management.
• Maintain proper documentation for contracts, measurements, claims, and commercial records.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works for payment purposes.
• Identify potential commercial risks and recommend appropriate cost-control measures.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure works are carried out within the approved budget and contract requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying or commercial construction.
• Experience in civil, structural, industrial construction, or oil & gas projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of contract administration, cost control, variation, claims, and payment certification.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication, negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
• Willing to be based at Pengerang / project site when required.
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian construction contracts and practices is an advantage.

Requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

Education:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Quantity Surveyor: 1 year (Preferred)
