About the role

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a growing freight forwarding and logistics team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in import/export shipments, freight coordination and customer service who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries relating to quotations, shipments and operational matters promptly and professionally.
• Prepare quotations and coordinate the activation of import, export and cross-trade shipments.
• Coordinate shipment arrangements closely with customers, overseas agents and internal operations teams.
• Prepare and manage documentation required for import and export shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide customers with timely updates on shipment status.
• Handle shipment-related issues and customer concerns, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to achieve timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate shipment information, records, reports and system entries.
• Ensure consistent service standards by following established operational procedures and customer requirements.
• Support sales and marketing activities when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within freight forwarding, logistics or a related industry.
• Good understanding of import and export processes.
• Experience handling air and/or sea freight shipments; candidates with exposure to both will have an advantage.
• Familiar with Incoterms and their application to international shipments.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to coordinate effectively with customers, overseas agents and internal stakeholders.
• Independent, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a strong team player.
• Willing to work overtime when operationally required.
