The School of Social Sciences at NTU Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology.
We seek to appoint an outstanding and collegial scholar-practitioner who will contribute principally to the Master of Science in Psychology (MScP) programme. We are especially interested in candidates whose research and professional expertise lies at the intersection of community health psychology, forensic psychology, clinical psychology, and/or criminal justice.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a high-quality programme of research, publish in leading disciplinary or interdisciplinary outlets, and contribute to the wider research environment of the Psychology Programme and School of Social Sciences.
The appointee’s teaching responsibilities will be primarily within the MScP programme. These responsibilities may include developing course content and assessments; delivering lectures, seminars, and other learning activities; supervising and advising programme students; providing student consultation and pastoral support; and undertaking assessment and marking duties. The appointee may also be asked to contribute to other teaching needs within the Psychology Programme.
A significant component of the appointee’s service responsibilities will involve coordinating the MScP practicum. This will include supporting the development and administration of clinical and professional placements; cultivating relationships with placement providers and external partners; helping to ensure the quality and suitability of placement experiences and supervision; supporting students and supervisors during placements; and contributing to practicum governance, evaluation, and quality assurance. Experience managing or coordinating clinical or professional practica, internships, placements, or comparable forms of supervised professional training is therefore strongly desired.
