Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the assigned building, public areas and common facilities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of public areas, facilities and building surroundings.
• Respond immediately to incidents, complaints, emergencies or safety concerns within the assigned area.
• Identify potential hazards such as wet floors, obstructions, damaged facilities, unsafe conditions or other risks and take appropriate immediate action.
• Apply basic safety procedures and ensure the affected area is made safe while waiting for the relevant technical or emergency team.
• Coordinate and communicate with Security, Cleaning, Technical/M&E and other relevant teams during incidents.
• Escalate major incidents, safety concerns, equipment failures or building issues to the Supervisor/Facilities Manager promptly.
• Assist in managing emergency situations such as accidents, injuries, fire alarms, power interruptions, water leakage and other building-related incidents.
• Attend to enquiries and complaints from building users, visitors and clients in a professional manner.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety and general conditions of public areas and report any issues requiring rectification.
• Ensure contractors, service providers and site personnel follow relevant site procedures when carrying out work in public areas.
• Record incidents, complaints, inspections and actions taken in the relevant logbook/system.
• Conduct proper handover to the incoming shift and highlight any outstanding issues.
• Support crowd control or public-area management during events, peak periods or emergency situations when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Facilities Manager.

Basic Safety Responsibilities

• Understand and apply basic workplace and public-area safety requirements.
• Take immediate action to secure or isolate unsafe areas where necessary.
• Place warning signage/barriers for hazards such as wet floors, damaged flooring or other unsafe conditions.
• Know when and how to escalate incidents to Security, Technical Team, Emergency Response Team or Management.
• Remain calm and follow established emergency procedures during incidents.
• Ensure incidents are properly recorded and handed over to the next shift.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in any relevant field.
• Previous experience in building operations, facilities management, customer service, security, hospitality, transportation hub or public-facing environments is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of building safety and emergency procedures.
• Able to identify common hazards and take appropriate immediate action.
• Active, alert and physically fit, with the ability to conduct regular patrols and respond quickly to incidents.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable dealing with members of the public, clients, contractors and site personnel.
• Able to remain calm and professional when handling complaints or unexpected situations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and updating records.
• Willing and able to work on a rotating shift basis, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Punctual, responsible, disciplined and able to work independently.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
