Responsibilities: Scope & value analysis
Build and maintain the task/scope definition from current manual procedures across relevant work zones.
Assess which tasks are suited to automation versus human execution, together with engineering, quality and suppliers.
Translate the scope into a value case (time savings, accuracy, traceability) aligned with program targets.
Field deployment & robot operation
Plan and execute on-site deployment: robot routes, site infrastructure, safety clearances and commissioning.
Operate and supervise robot missions during trials and bridge the operator role until site teams are trained.
Run acceptance testing and performance verification to validate accuracy and reliability.
3D digital twin & simulation
Build and maintain a 3D digital twin of the site and equipment to plan robot routes, reach, clearances and coverage before going on site.
Use simulation to verify inspection coverage, validate trajectories, collision avoidance and cycle times, de-risking commissioning ahead of physical deployment.
Keep the digital twin aligned with as-built site conditions and use it as a communication and training aid.
Feed simulation findings into product and roadmap improvement discussions with suppliers and engineering.
Supplier & stakeholder coordination
Act as the technical interface to technology suppliers: regular cadence, issue tracking, defect reporting and on-site support coordination.
Coordinate across operations, engineering, quality and HSE stakeholders to keep deployments unblocked.
Data, integration & reporting
Support data flow into the central data platform and reporting tooling; work with the data/AI team to assess model performance.
Adoption & change management
Drive the "robot + human" adoption narrative with on-site teams; support training material and operating procedure creation.
Support knowledge transfer and documentation so deployments are sustainable beyond the initial phase.
Requirements: Engineering background (mechanical, mechatronics, robotics, electrical or industrial maintenance engineering).
Hands-on field-engineering experience: comfortable working in an operational environment around equipment and robotic systems.
Strong value-analysis / methods mindset — able to go from a procedure to what a robot can and cannot do, and quantify the benefit.
Experience coordinating external technology suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Familiarity with operational/maintenance processes, data platforms and basic AI/computer-vision concepts.
Rigorous, autonomous and proactive on risk anticipation and documentation.
Willing to travel to deployment sites; English required, additional languages a plus.
