About the role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team. The role will support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our Kuala Lumpur office, as well as provide accounting support to our Australian office and cross-border operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organized, reliable and comfortable working independently, while collaborating with an international team.
Key responsibilities
Handle and maintain the full set of accounts
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
Perform accurate coding and posting of transactions in the accounting system
Assist with monthly invoicing and aged debtor management
Assist with payroll processing for the Australian office
Support cross-border and intercompany transactions
Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis
Maintain proper accounting records and documentation
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting procedures
About you
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years' relevant accounting experience
Experience handling full set of accounts
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems
Good command of written and spoken English
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Knowledge or experience of Australian GST will be an advantage
