Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Automotive Technician to join our After Sales team at BYD Denver Auto, Perai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle inspection, servicing, repair and maintenance work in accordance with BYD technical standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical and technical issues.
• Perform diagnostic checks using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct repair and replacement of vehicle components as required.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed according to BYD technical standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and vehicle quality checks when required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are handled responsibly.
• Record completed repair and maintenance work accurately.
• Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and returned in good condition.
• Follow all workshop safety procedures and company policies.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and other After Sales team members to ensure smooth vehicle repair processes.
• Perform any other duties related to workshop operations as assigned by the After Sales Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM / SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive Technology or related field.
• Candidates with relevant automotive workshop experience are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates with relevant automotive qualifications are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing, repair and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical and diagnostic systems will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, disciplined and willing to learn.
• Possess a positive attitude and good work ethic.
• Able to work in a fast-paced automotive service environment.
