Job Summary

Responsible in performing various functions through collaborative drug therapy management and patient care including day-to-day operations and other clinical services related.

Job Responsibilities:

Medication Management:

• Ability to evaluate the appropriateness of medications therapy and dosage accordance to patient's diagnosis.
• Keep proper documentation of medications plans, patient progress and results of pharmaceutical treatment.
• Ensure the selection, preparation, and dispensing of medications, including chemotherapy agents, biologics, and supportive care drugs.
• Responsible for the management and safe handling of radioactive materials and radiopharmaceuticals used in diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• To perform medication dispensing and medication counselling.
• To obtain and disseminate as necessary drug or drug therapy related information.

Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution:

• Review, interpret, and verify oncology prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment plans.
• Counter check final CDR product release

Nuclear Medicine (Hot Lab):

• Manage preparation, quality control, dispensing, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Ensure compliance with AELB and MOH regulations on radioactive materials and safety.
• Maintain inventory, documentation, and radiation safety practices.
• Collaborate with RPO and nuclear medicine team to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Inventory Control/Management:

• To perform other related duties as assigned and directed by the immediate superior.
• To be person in charge of scheduling for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the service areas.
• To organize the day-to-day operations in the designated areas of services
• To ensure that only approved products are stored or available for use in the hospital
• To ensure the availability of formulary drugs at all service areas

Research and Clinical Trials:

• Support oncology research and clinical trials conducted within the hospital by participating in preparation, and administration of investigational drugs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of clinical trial-related activities.

Medication Safety and Quality Assurance:

• To develop clinical pharmacy programs according to policies & procedures.
• To take reasonable care at workplace for the safety of oneself, others and to comply with any instruction or measurement on occupational safety, health and environment as required.

Training & Supervision:

• To carry out orientation programs for new staff in the department
• To perform periodic evaluation of respective staffs in the department

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent qualification and registered with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in hospital, preferably in hospital pharmacy.
• Good communication skills with ability to converse in English.
• Strong leadership skills and confident in decision making.

Pay: From RM6,100.00 per month
